My old laptop has 2 viruses on it and my iTunes. I want my iTunes loaded on my new laptop. How can I do this without transfering the virus to my new laptop and loosing my music?
What I usually do is plug in my ipod onto my computer (assuming it's a new computer; or re-installment of itunes) and then a window pops saying something like "transfer purchases" or "erase and sync". You then click on transfer purchases, and all of your songs from your ipod will transfer onto your itunes. This is only possible if you've legitimately bought your songs off of the itunes stores, and it should be all there.
If you click on erase and sync, then it will erase all your songs. So don't click on that.
But if you didn't and got them somewhere else, such as limewire, mediafire, etc. then those songs will not show up on itunes when transferring your songs. I had 400+ songs, but when I transferred my purchases, I only had 300+ on itunes, because I bought those 300 songs.
Another way would be emailing yourself your music files or saving them on a flashdrive. my safest bet is emailing it to yourself because plugging in your flashdrive to your computer might also get infected with a virus. Again, this happened to me. This way, you can be able to open up and add these files to your itunes.
Download team viewer on both laptops. Then transfer files. If your having trouble, can't understand it,can't do it.Read a tutorial or watch a tutorial video on you tube on team viewer.Thanks.Here is a source look down for wikipedia
