Alright tbh I love both and at first I use to say I f*cking hate trap its terrible but guys lets be honest sitting there and having to pay attention to lyrics and details does get boring after a while and you need that fun trap sh*t sometimes and don't get me wrong I've heard all the great lyrical rappers such as Eminem, Big Pun, Andre 3000, Rakim, Nas etc.... but after a while I do want to just listen to that trap sh*t like Gucci, Chief Keef, Rich Homie Quan, 2 chainz and those people, and everytime I play someone like Lupe Fiasco, J.Cole, Kendrick Lamar or Tech N9ne people always just say alright Im getting tired of this sh*t man turn on some 2 chainz or something, so... honestly which one do you guys enjoy more?

I enjoy lyrical rap, for the most part I can't take trap music. All of the rappers who I claim as my favorite are lyrical. But I do agree with you, if lyrical rap was the only thing around, after a while it would get boring. The problem today isn't the existence of trap/turn up/drill music; the problem is that that's the only music really being pushed and promoted. The radio has lost all balance. I can wake up at 6am and a turn up song by Future would be playing on the radio. That's terrible broadcasting to me. Lyrical rap belongs in the headphones, trap rap belongs in the clubs, and there is suppose to be an equal balance of both on the radio. We need trap music to keep the genre exciting and get us in that party, hype type of mood. But we need lyrical rap to remind us that this is an art form and not just some idiots going in the studio and making us look like jokes for a quick buck.
Trap Vs Rap
Lyrical Rap
Complexity of lyrics is enough to entertain me tbh
And guys like Eminem, Earl Sweatshirt, Big L etc. are capable of making good music and being lyrical
Lyrical
I want lyrical rappers on trap beats. Why the best rappers take the crappiest beats i don't understand. I guess they are worried about the beat being too distracting or something? Maybe that's why crap rappers seem to get the best beats. They need them to sell because their lyrics are so sh*tty.
Lytical rap AKA Hip Hop: no contest. Obviously there are times you wanna let loose and just bang your head to a beat and stupid rhymes but usually, i find, its all dependent on the person's intelligence
um lyrical hip hop thats the point i dont like trap music its bad
Trap music sucks.
Trap can be lyrical. This question is stupid af.
