I will be leaving for a week between a 7-14 day trip. I am purchasing new luggage. I will try to limit and research on How to pack and fit everything in,along with regulations..Here is my question.. if I purchase 1 rolling suitcase 25-27 inches , then one or maybe 2 two duffles (womens quilted patent; fashion of course :) .... do you think I would be set with outfits for L.A. in that size suitcase adequate? Duffle bags ..1 for shoes..other for extras? I really appreciate it . I am not a jet setter lol, but will flying across to L.A. in March and back and forth as time goes on... Thanks!
Update:Alright, thank you Clara..u r correct I'll need all that curling iron, ect ect. And it won't be for business so I need not worry about blazers, business attire, though I will not allow myself to look too casual either. No denim , yanks ect . So it looks like I should purchase a 2 set of Diane Von Fursenberg luggage set and then a cute patent duffle I saw from Speigel. Does that sound like adequate space for clothes, outfits,SHOES,cosmetic case, hairblower, curling iron ect. ? How do we women pack all our shoes for outfits? I know we should limit ourselves and try to mix and match, but seriously I'll try .I just want a lot of expert advice. I need it. I've never traveled before and then to Beverly Hills!! Please I need all of your help! Thank you so very much and Happy Holidays! :*

I don't think so, unless you plan on washing and re-wearing several items. Think about it, what kind of items will you be wearing? Jeans/blazers-jackets take up alot of room. Mark out the size suitcase you plan on buying. Lay out the clothing you'd like to bring, starting with necessities. Undergarments, sleepwear, pants, tops etc. That would be the best way to determine if they will fit before you buy your luggage. If they are lightweight and thin, it may work. In addition, make sure you extras all fit in the duffel's. If you need to bring a hair dryer, iron and basically every toiletries that you may use at home, you may need to add them to your suitcase, making even less room for your clothing.
Good luck and I'm jealous!!!! Hope it's for pleasure!!!
***You are very welcome! Bring some fabreeze spray and rewear some things! You will be fine! ENJOY!!!
The first thing you need to know is that you are generally limited to 50 lbs per suitcase, unless you wish to pay an obscene overweight charge. We travel with a 24 and a 25 inch suitcase and have to be careful to not go overweight. Remember, unless flying Southwest, you will be paying exorbitant baggage charges even if you don't go overweight.
