I've heard that next January Subway is going to let ppl on food stamps purchase sandwiches. The only thing you can't buy is cookies. Does anyone know if this is true or false? just wondering.
It depends on the restaurant. Four Subways in Providence Rhode Island have been accepting food stamps from homeless, elderly and disabled people since 2011.
If you are asking if all of Subway chains across the country will start accepting food stamps beginning in January, then the answer is false. If they were, then it would be a major news story, considering that the four Subways in R.I. acceptance of food stamps made headlines.

I couldn't care less, Subway is nutritious and relatively inexpensive so I think it is a good thing for the poor to purchase.
