Hey. The other day I fell asleep, tummy down, on my trampoline. I'm not sure how long I was out in the sun, but as I was wearing a spaghetti strap kind of top, I burnt. This was on Friday. It was a little uncomfy, but I put after sun on and got on with it. Then last night (Saturday) I woke up in the middle of the night with UNBEARABLY itchy sunburn. The burn was cool though. I'm so confused. I'm going out of my mind. I've slapped milk, vinegarr, lotion, aloe Vera, tea bags and deodrant on it. Nothing stops the itching. Ice packing it, does numb it. But it's such a pain!
How long will this last? I'm going mad. I'm not sure how much more my poor, Scottish skin can take.

Im having the exact same issue right now & trying to find answers. Everyone says Aloe Vera but I've been using it in buckets and i still itch. Some one told me its to do with the skin's acid mantle being out of balance & not to use soaps or scrub the area.
That's all ive got sorry, I'm off to see the doc.
good luck fellow whitey ; )
(My pasty skin is never going out uncovered again!)
I totally understand you ! I kept itching but don't . Take a cook shower, put ice packs on and put ALOE VERA GEL ! Aloe vera gel is the key to stop the itching and bye bye sunburn ! You should drink 5-6 bottles of water , to also help the sunburn go away . Good Luck and best of wishes .
my skin hurts just reading this. my burns usually don't itch until they are in the healing stage, usualy they hurt badly at your stage. only other thing i can think of is that neosporin with pain relief or some other non-burning (alcohol based stuff might not feel fun on a burn) topical anesthetics might help. At least it shouldnt last longer than a week, probably just another day or two (hopefully!) sorry :(.
