I would like to transfer rel="nofollow">http://www.sourcingmap.com/usb-ide-hard-drive-exte... ) that supports Windows 98/2000/ME/XP . Im not so sure how the whole thing works as Ive never done it before, but I dont quite see why the operating systems would interfere with the transfer. Is it just that you can't find where the drive is located in your control panel?
Anyway, I am just curious as to whether anyone could tell me if they think this particular enclosure should/would work with Vista even though its not specified, and if not, if there is a way to make it do so?
thanks in advance
Update:.... thanks wayne: but to clarify, as I said: it's to transfer the data from my laptop hardrive to my other laptop hardrive. I am just unsure if it will be compatible with Vista.

First off all that the device you have ordered is a case with no hard drive so you cannot transfer anything and it will not work
You will have to buy a 2.5 hard drive to fit
your best solution is to Buy a " Thumb drive " or whatever you call them where you live
you can get 8 or 16 GB ones that should do the job
