vista computer won't load, black screen problem?
I don't know how it started but when I went to my computer to turn it on yesterday it started normally (displayed the motherboard name and then it went to a black screen with a blinking _ and then the icon vanished and the screen just hangs there.
I tried to do the F8 last know config but when I tried it just say "select a boot first device" and it doesn't do anything. can anyone help?

unfortunately vista sucks.... chances are that vista in your computer is corrupt ( this is why it wont load ) if this is happening try to restore vista. in order to this you will need the restore cd that was given to you when you got the computer/vista pack. if after restoring vista can't load you might want to try and install a free system like ubuntu to check that the BIOS is not damaged. if ubuntu can't load like vista then u should take the computer to a profecional so that he could fix it. if he still can't fix it you should buy a new computer hope that i helped
