I play football for my high school and I'm 6 foot 1 and way 249 pounds. The problem is when they took my BMI most of my body was muscle instead of fat but it dosen't show at all and I just want to know if anyone knows if I should take weight loss tea or pills or just anything. I'm also 15.

If your BMI didn't show any significant fat, why do want lose your weight? You have obviously about 50 pounds more than the ideal weight. But if you have 50 pounds of exra muscle, and you want to be a pro football player, do you want to lose that muscle? I think you need to consult your coach and get it input before using some useless pills on the market and spoil yopur health. To calm down and get plenty of ant-oxidents I recommend using 'green tea' as opposed to 'black tea'. Green tea also increase metabolism and burn any fat; but you have to be cautious in using it.
At 15 I am not sure you should weight that much. What position do you play? However, I do not think weight loss pills are the answer. I would try to watch what you eat, eat foods high in fiber, and also maybe do some cardio. The BMI does not distinguish between body fat and muscle. If you want to know if your body fat is to high, then there are special devices that read that. But dont go by the BMI.
DO NOT TAKE WEIGHT LOSS SUPPLEMENTS. 6'1' and 249 lbs for a football player is a good weight. Obviously, pretty lean also. continue to do what you are doing. Have fun!
This one is a bit tricky for me , definitely seek some advice from personal trainer's, or even health exprets regarding natural remedies or protein supplements. I wouldn't recommend diuretics especially at your age , whatever you do don't go near the steroids, I've seen the side effects from family and friends. They might have looked good at the time , but once they have stopped, big weight problems ! Good luck Seya....
You should cut down on eating fastfoods and stuff, or not eat as much , both really , I know a guy tht weighted 400 pounds when he was in High School so don't worry about it so much.
this is a healthy weight for your age, height and sex. Adult weight loss pills are really just for water weight and realy will do nothing for you. go to this site to see what kind of nutrition you do need.
your tall and young so try not to loose to much weight , since its all muscle its healthy, BMI only counts for those who dont engage in physical activity its also only an overall estimate, also since your 15 your body is still changing it takes a while to get a ripped define muscle look.
Being only 15 yrs old I dont feel you should worry too much cos as we get older we seem to become stronger an you will later on in your life also like filling out your body... denise
cut it out... eat 3 good meals and do healthy snacks twice a day drink plenty of water (64 ozs) a day and get 8 hrs of sleep. 15 is not old so don't start messing yourself up with stuff that can screw up your metabolism and mess up the rest of you life. BMI? don't fall for the hype!
