I am 17 years old, and have been wanting to lose about 30 pounds of weight, to get to my recommended weight. I have been eating a lot less, and a lot healthier than before, and have also been playing Badminton for up to 4 hours almost every single day!! My neighbor and I really get into the game, lol... I have been doing this for about a month, or longer, but have not lost any weight at all!.. I know the ideal weight loss is 2 pounds per week, but I haven't even done this in a month's time! Why is this? What else can I possibly do to lose the weight?

Your problem may be that you are not eating enough. I know that this sounds crazy, but you are exercising more so you NEED more calories. Now these need to be healthy calories. Not sugar, or fat calories. If your body feels like you are starving it, it will hold on to whatever fat it can by slowing down your metabolism. This will stop your weight loss. Your best approach is to eat at least 1200 - 1500 calories a day, and continue to exercise. As long as you eat good foods, drink lots of water, and continue to exercise. Your body will respond in a positive manner. Remember too. Muscle weighs more than fat.
I'll tell you one thing eating a lot less does not have anything to do with weight loss. Infact your body presumes it to be that you are in a crisis situation of starvation and tends to hoard up a lot more energy for the crisis. So in these cases if you continue to eat less amount of fatty food you tend to put on weight instead of losing it. So you have to change the type of food you eat. Eat more vegetables. Donot eat fried, greasy or fatty things. Eat less at regular intervals of time. Donot overeat in one sitting. Chew slowly and savour what you eat , this way you will end up eating less. You need to do a lot of exercise to accelerate your metabolism. It's better if you do cardiovascular exercise, because this kind of exercise helps you burn fat...
