This car was bought brand-new a few weeks ago. I was driving it once and turned my right turn signal on to change lanes and since it didn't turn itself off, I tried to turn it off, and gave it a nudge down to switch it back to the natural position, but it instead switched to the left turn signal. I thought maybe since I wasn't used to driving this car I pushed it too hard or something, but I couldn't get it to stop after several tries. I pulled over into a parking lot and parked and eventually it turned itself off. This happened again a couple of other times. Just last night I was pulling into my driveway and used the turn signal, and when I parked I tried turning it off and it wouldn't go back to the natural position in which neither turn signal is blinking. It feels like there is no middle position to put the turn signal in and trying to turn it off after having your right signal on makes it turn on the left signal, and vice versa. I sat there and tried and tried to turn it off and it just switched back and forth between left and right. This doesn't always happen but it's obviously a problem when it does happen. Does anyone know why it would do this?

Schedule an appointment with the dealer. Sounds like an issue with the multifunction switch assembly on the column. The dealer will probably just swap the switch assembly.
