they do the same job as they do not deployed, every ones job is training to do it in combat, yes you can volunteer to go on patrols as long as you commander signs off on it
What ever happened to serving for the sake of serving the country in a job you want to do, or think you want to do? it makes sense to choose a job that would transfer into a good paying job in the civilian world. but like you said at the end of the day its you that can make you happy..but hey i know an air traffic controller who was in the army who want to be a legal specialist when he was in.didnt reclass and look at him now.. im pretty sure he isnt complaining about his salary on the civilian side ..

They assist the lawyers with any cases they may have. Don't know any that have volunteered - doubt their chain of command would allow it.
