The COMS is definitely real grass as they have the sprinklers on pretty much before every match, and there would be no sense in watering artificial turf.
Yeah the Bundesliga does have a great atmosphere but so does the EPL to. I think Germany and England are the two best football countries in the World. It may just be more of a tradition for German fans to hang flags than it is in England.

None of them do in the Prem. I think Wycombe in League 1 do though.
None - they tried it out in the eighties but they didn't work. They just employ the very best groundsmen available to keep them perfect.
