He did not parachute into London. He flew an aircraft to Scotland,intending to land at Dungavel House to meet with the Duke of Hamilton. His aircraft was picked up on radar as he crossed the coast of North East England and was chased by the RAF, causing him to sun out of fuel. That necessitated him bailing out.

He was not returned to Germany, but kept imprisoned in the UK in various places, finally in Maindiff Court Hospital near Cardiff for three years until the end of the war. It was only then that he was returned to Germany as a defendant in the Nuremberg trials. He was given a life sentence by the tribunal and spent the rest of his life in Spandau Prison, Berlin.

I thought he parachuted into a remote part of Scotland and was then taken to London. It might pay you to check that. Flying any German plane anywhere near London or any British city would have ben very risky for a German in 1941 - many anti-aircraft guns in place!
