I feel McCain has the better Energy Policy because it relies on already existing technology with plans to improve upon them. I think that the worry of accidents from Offshore Drilling are unfounded. People forget that the damage that was felt from Katrina Onshore was survived with no issues by Oil Drilling Platforms Offshore.
Obama's Energy should continue to be pursued as well, but it relies on still unproven technology with predictions that improvements will proceed at a rapid pace. Solar and Wind have been available for decades and the technology is still not a viable alternative...only a limited supplement...to our Energy needs.
i think obama does. He thinks we should develop energy through clean resources--wind, water and solar. He knows the only way to wean ourselves on foreign oil dependency is to reduce consumption and drilling for more oil off our coasts is too environmentally risky and will have little effect. Of course, mccain wants to drill, but then, he has quite a few oil backers giving him money. And mccain wants to go nuclear--in war and energy--but with no safe way to store/eliminate radioactive waste from these plants, this is another risky solution. And ive been answering (mostly idiot obama-dissing questions) all day and you have asked the only really intelligent question about an important issue i've seen. Thanks!
In the energy of doctors to save lives, it's got to be McCain, Obama supports infanticide and refused 3 times to support a law requiring medical aid to born alive babies. That's where doctors need to use their energy.
Obama's plan is to tax the oil companies so much that our prices go to $10.00/gallon.
Joan...other countries recycle their nuclear waste and get more energy from it...over and over again. By the time that they are done, a 55 gallon drum of waste would fit in less than a teaspoon. McCain understands this. Obama and obviously you do not.
But to answer your question, I guess it would be McCain for the drilling offshore and ANWR. Both candidates need to rethink their positions though. Things can easily get worse.
McCain has no clue where to put all the nuclear waste. He said he would have to go shopping to find a place to put it all. McCain says he won't put the waste in his state.

McCain. He supports nuclear power and expanded domestic oil exploration and acquisition, while Obama does not.
On the flip side, Obama supports higher taxes on oil companies, which will be passed onto consumers in the form of higher prices.
Both candidates are in favor of alternative energy research, so it comes down to the above issues.

The congress has one I'm sure, but since my representative hasn't done anything toward energy, then I am voting him out.
Joe Biden has been working on get millions of electric cars for americans that are reliable and cheap, cheap, cheap. That is the first step.
Obama
I dont like either.
