Which program do you recommend, Nero 9 or WMP 11?
I'm not that familiar with Nero, but have heard good things about it. Should I make the switch away from Vista's WMP or stay put. If you highly recommend Nero, why? Thanks much in advance!

I have never been a fan of MS bundled software such as WMP that does everything.
Nero is an all in one Burning/ video/audio application
you can burn DVD-R videos
turn Avi/Mpeg into DVD-R
turn Mp3s into CD-R music cds
rips your own home made DVD's and make copies of it.
Make menus for the DVD's
and the list goes on and on.
I would say Nero is a well suited application over WMP
but it all depends on what you are trying to accomplish.
I'm always going to suggest third Party Software. Simply due to the fact that WMP, IE, Outlook, ect all av their "roots" deep in the windows OS. So if something does go wrong with Nero or Thunderbird, Firefox or some other third party program, the chances of windows corrupting is considerably lower.
Keep in mind that the Microsoft windows programs are all security risks. Primarily IE. So to go with WMP would probably be a huge mistake due to the fact that if something does go wrong there is roughly a 90% chance that you'll have a new project. Fixing windows...
Personally, I would go with an adobe program...
