ha - yeh, because that's all they had at stadiums, etc, when I was a kid. So there is something about using one that seems a little nostaligic, almost rugged about them. There's something natural feeling about a row of guys peeing into the same big trough, like you're part of some big brotherhood.
I can remember years ago, there were troughs back to back in some stadium, so while you were peeing into your trough you were looking right at the guys across from you peeing into their trough.
They are pretty rare now, but three Saturdays ago I discovered they still have them on the lower level of Memorial Stadium at the University of Oklahoma.
yeah the back to back troughs...they had this at my college stadium, then eventually added a short wall between them for "privacy." But from age 10 i'd go to the games and when i had to pee i was almost always lined up face to face and side by side with several other guys. This was weird at first but i found that i could just take my time and seeing another guy's pee helped me relax to do the same. It also helped with modesty issues when it came time for communal showers in the next few years
I remember years later as an adult i was lined up across from a young kid who also struggled to go (he was starting to get erect too). It was a 20 minute line to the stalls so i tried to help and said "it's ok buddy, just watch me go, you can do it." And sure enough, just like me those years earlier, he was able to pee!
The only moment of regret was this teenage punk once peed right into my stream and laughed. But whatever, overall it was fine and i don't know why they had to get rid of it
