Madrid didn't win because of an aggregate draw.What happened was that Madrid went away to play the first leg in Bayern's home and they lost but scored on goal while Bayern had 2.So when Madrid played the second leg at the Bernabeu they did the same as Bayern in the first leg,they netted 2 goals,but Bayern's scored one.Therefore,adding the goals from the two games,they both ended with a draw 3-3 and since both failed to score in the extra time of 30 minutes they had to go to penalty to decide.

Uhm, Bayern also had 2-1 in the first leg. This time its madrid. The reason being is that they are even. Bayern had an away goal, thats why 3-3 all together. like a normal draw. So they had to go to penalties. Thats how it works.

For example: lets say if the results from the first leg were 2-2 and, 1-1 in the second leg Real would've advanced. It is true that aggregate is 3-3 but Real would win because they have scored 2 goals in Munich but Bayern has 1 in real's pitch.
