Having served, the vast majority of active duty personnel are on the conservative side of the spectrum, and they serve because they love their country, and view it as exceptional. This is an extreme contrast to public parasites that typically vote to keep liberals in power. You see, they don't tend to have anything in common with a liberal.

Like the Obama budget that proposes tripling my TRICARE fees? Jimmy Carter with 4% pay raises in the teeth of double digit inflation? Obama asking his handlers "why do I have to go out there again" when speaking to soldiers? Democrats gut the military. Most military vets see which party cares for them and it certainly isn't the Democrats.

I am a vet, I work hard and like to keep MY money, therfore I tend to vote republican, but not always. Bush did not get my vote for his second term. I have no problem helping someone who needs help, but I have a huge problem giving handouts to the lazy, useless and undeserving!!!

Pay attention in the next presidential election, watch and listen to what the democrats try to pull. They always try to keep our military votes from being counted. If you like what they do then you are a democrat of the worst kind.

We remember 40 years of sub-human liberals and how the treated us. During the Bush years, we got to enjoy 7 years of being accused of genocide and crimes against humanity, we got to hear false accusations on the floor of the house and Harry Reid holding a daily press conference trying to discourage all involved, saying the war was lost.

Some vets have psychological damage coming back from the war. that would explain voting republican.
