As for cutting education spending, bear in mind that the largest chunk of a school district's budget goes to the administrators. There can be no denying that they do a lousy job and don't deserve their salaries. Continually throwing money at a problem does not solve it.

We spend more / student than any nation on earth, and she is what we get. That is the real irritation.

EDIT: I think we should shut down all U.S. military bases that aren't in the United States. I don't know if that would be a good idea, but having bases in non-combat zones is absurd.
