At this point, you can't really trust one party or the other. Why is everyone hellbent on making the U.S. a fascist police state? Why must we choose insanity? Can't we just take the best of both the Republicans and Democrats and merge them together in the most logical, positive fashion and trim away all of the excess overboard zealot bullsh*t that creeps into both ideologies?

It was amended long before it was extended to strengthen civil liberties but most libs STILL don't like it.
I think most liberals were pretty disappointed about that. I know the ACLU was very critical of it.
