He's probably jealous. Christians have the birth of Jesus to celebrate and the Jews have Chanukah, a celebration of the victory of the Maccabees, the rededication of the Jerusalem Temple and the miracle of the oil that burned for 8 days. See if any Jewish merchants refuse to take a Christian's money while they're b*tching about a Christmas tree.
Its silly to be offended (or uncomfortable) by the display of another's religion. I know it's a Christmas Tree isn't part of Christianity but it is used to celebrate a Christian festival!
Anyways back to your question...some people just like to make mountains out of molehills...it probably doesn't offend him (i mean why this year? What was so offensive about the tree this year that wasn't there on last years tree???) its just his 5 minutes of fame!
And anyway how does a Christmas Tree affect your own beliefs If you're religious beliefs are strong enough nothing and no one should affect them!!!!
I love Christmas time and i love the festive atmosphere! I am Muslim...i don't celebrate Christmas yet i bought the decorations for my office and we had fun decorating our minature Christmas Tree!
Shouldn't we accept and celebrate all cultures and all religions? Isn't this wat most religions teach...i know Islam teaches this (though not everyone abides by it) And anyway if you live in a Christian country you have to accept their traditions!
