What is it about Ron Paul that you absolutely love? Is it his stance on non-interference in other countries business, or his stance on supporting the constitution, or his stance on limiting the federal government, or his desire for freedom and liberty in this country?

I have never been so excited about politics until I started reading about Ron Paul. I agree with him with almost everything, when I usually agree with almost nothing with most canidates.
I don't agree with his abortion stance, then again what would you expect from an obstetrition. Then again, he isn't the type to enforce his personal belief on others: he wants to leave it up to the states, which I respect.
I love:
That he sticks to his guns and votes consistantly.
That he really seems to support the people and their rights rather than politcal scandal.
That he has some radical ideas like abolishing the IRS and backing federal dollars with gold or silver again. (They are brillant ideas that are only radical because they've been enacted for so long).
That he wants to end the drug war (and other complete wastes of my hard earned money).
That he is INTELLIGENT, WELL-READ, and ARTICULATE. The right person to be represting our country, not a monkey.
And finally, and perhaps most importantly in these times: his non-interventionalist stance. Keep our nose out of others' business. Lead by example, not by force.
I love Ron Paul, I only hope I can spread the word enough.
If more people knew and researched him, I think they'd be in for a pleasant surprise.
Ron Paul is a constitutionist who believes that our government should be based on original constitutional ideas. From his website:
"Congressman Ron Paul (R-Texas) is the leading advocate for freedom in our nation’s capital. As a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, Dr. Paul tirelessly works for limited constitutional government, low taxes, free markets, and a return to sound monetary policies. He is known among his congressional colleagues and his constituents for his consistent voting record. Dr. Paul never votes for legislation unless the proposed measure is expressly authorized by the Constitution."
Ron Paul believes in limited government, limited taxation, limited regulation and basically that the federal government should stay out of our personal lives. There isn't a single candidate other than Paul, republican or democrat, who's political platform puts freedom above all else. He'd make one hell of a great president.
Its finally nice to see a libertarian to get the spotlight. It's quite nice that he is generating some conversion in this country. On a side note, this election kinda reminds (at least what I've read from Radicals for Capitalism by Brian Doherty) me of the 1964 election. A libertarian candidate is running in the Republican party (Barry Goldwater). Also a controversial war is being waged. Also young people are getting behind the candidate.
Probably because he's the only Republican left who believes in limiting the federal government in accordance with the constitution.
The rest of 'em are turning pink from red, and unwittingly supporting a new brand of socialism.
Who's the RINO?
Notice most of the people not liking him with superfluous reasons, only joined YA recently? Some will have legitimate issues with his stances, but you can't please all the people all the time.
I would say yes to all of those plus he's not some corporate shill. I love Ron Paul because he's a candidate who is for the people, not for some corporate interest.
Because he is the only Republican that is like a Democrat, and America is sick of the Republicans, but some Republicans are to scared to vote for a Democrat because the (D) behind the name. Silly I know, but people should vote for who they believe will do the best job, not if the person is male, female, half Black, half Hispanic, bald, Mormon, too old, too young, divorced 3 times, and incest condoner..... We should vote for the most qualified, and the one that will lead the country in the right direction.
I will check all of the above. The main reason is because he has shown time and time again that he is unlike all other politicians. He has convictions and sticks to them. He actually believes in something.
I am most impressed by the way he defends the constitution.
Honest, walks his own talk, a true statesman. Respects the Constitution, too.
All of the above.
