My ex wife loved it..was her idea..we'd watch and "play" and have a good time all night watching porn and humping like hamsters. good times, too bad she was nuttier than a 3 peckered billy goat.
Never assume anything that you're not a 100%. How do you know they don't view porn? Of course they are very discreet in their actions so you can't catch them easily at home, in the office, spa, factory & bakery but their desire for sexual pleasures peaks after dusk! If you recall the movie 'Species' the creature (female) was most active after sundown.
Women will never admit to viewing porn or recording but you will surely find a lot of evidence under their bedspread, handbags & beauty kit. Relatively, they may not be as excited as men or display emotions but they are the true sexual predators that hunt in pairs. Why do you think lesbianism is so common?
Lastly, porn became such a big influence on men due to the above pervasive tendencies of women. It is very difficult to control this & consequently men are mere puppets in their hands. Why do you think there are so many strip clubs, massage parlors & friendship clubs run by women?? Porn is an influence & which refuses to go away or turn the other cheek because women keep the flames burning bright
Personally, when I ventured into porn a while back I was not happy with what I found. It wasn't about sex; it was largely about misogyny ("dirty/nasty/stupid X takes it like the X she is), pedophilia ("tiny teens...", featuring really young girls who were meant to look and act even younger than they were), and degradation (verbal abuse, spitting, choking, etc.).
I have absolutely nothing against sex nor "sexy material". Nude photos, erotic stories, whatever. But I will not support an industry that runs on the things stated above, plus has such huge rates of rape, abuse, addiction, STDs, and the like.
So it's an ethical stance on my part, not that I'm somehow not turned on by visual stimulation because I'm a woman. And my guess is that's how a lot of other women feel too when they click on those sites or see those DVDs, and *that's* what's there.
Because men are more visually-oriented than women. Men are turned on my sight, women by touch and sound. Thats why most women close their eyes during sex (and tend to like soft background music), and why many men want the lights on and may like his girl to dress up in costumes/outfits etc. I don't know of many women who will ask her man to dress up in a sexy costume - 9 times out of 10 its the man who brings it up. Again - visual stimulation. Notice there are plenty of "girly" magazines for men to look at, but virtually no magazines of naked men for women to look at? That's because Playgirl magazines (and the like) didn't sell. They were around for a while, years ago, but you hardly see them any more. Women weren't interested. The main people who bought those magazines were gay men. So there you have it, there is actual scientific and biological reasoning behind your question, to a certain extent. I studied this for years in gender studies and did lots of surveys with members of the public, so I do have the material to back this up.
I can only speak for myself. It makes me uncomfortable. I feel like a voyeur. It's like watching a hideously obese person eat an entire chocolate cake.
The storylines are poor, the acting is bad. The whole object is sex, it's not for entertaining, it's to cater to basic instincts. And nothing convinces me that porn is good for women. Or men, actually.
I also think it is addictive.
When I was younger, I was more liberal minded. Now, I think, what an indulgent obsession.
We do were just quieter about it, and I think its easier for men to watch it as some think as women as objects more so than we see men are .. Not saying every man does. But as for me im open about and I have my favs <3 Belladonna <3

Social constructs probably play a role too.
