I recently had the motor to my pool pump replaced with a refurbished motor. I have a home warranty. When I turn the pump on, it's really loud. It works fine. There is suction and the pressure is at 10. The creepy crawler in my pool is moving. However, the motor is really loud. Is that normal because my old pump was not loud at all. Do you think it's the quality of the motor or was it not installed properly? I have a feeling the company will deny installing it improperly.

bearing is worn
Can you describe the type of sound made from your pump? This will help with a diagnosis. Does it sound like there's something rattling around, like rocks?
Perhaps your pump isn't getting water fast enough, as indicated by the low pressure. In this case, the impeller is spinning too fast. Also check the impeller for debris, and clogs in the filter itself.
As for being installed improperly, that's something to consider as well. Pumps need to be airtight, but air leaks are still common, so don't be upset. If your pump has a clear lid, check to see if you can detect any air in the pump gasket. Another way to detect air leaks is to spread shaving cream over the suction joints. It's like checking for a tire leak in water - only reversed. If there are leaks, you will see the cream dimple as it's trying to be sucked into the pump / filter system.

Wow...your psi is at 10, That's really low, that means the water is going through your filter fast
Just curios is this what your psi was before the motor was replaced?
I know when I clean my filter, the lowest my psi gets is 15.
