I don't think that Philadelphia is a lousy sports city. I will admit that they do not have many championships for fielding 4 major sports teams, but they have very passionate (albeit extremely rude and ungracious) fans.
It isnt. everyone thinks that because the fans boo a lot. im from here. the fans sell out all flyers games all eagles games and most phillies games, even though the flyers were so bad and even when the eagles did bad. we boo when a player doesnt show any effort. the sixers are the only ones who dont get much support. to show how good philadelphia is......when the phantoms (the flyers minor league) went to the finals the fans set a record crowd at the wachovia center. the record crowd before that was held by the philadelphia wings (indoor lacrosse) from when the went to the championship. just go to new york, they only follow thier teams when thier good. To say that it is a lousy sports city is a very wrong statement.
Why would you say it's a lousy sports city? Because a team that has been around well over 100 years lost 10,000 games. You do know the Braves will most likely be the next team to hit that benchmark and probobly within the next decade. So don't judge it based off of that.
Also, the Eagles are a pretty decent football team.
Yeah, I wouldn't say that in Philly. I mean just ask JD Drew and Scott Rolen.
I like them better than Mets fans though. Philly is lousy in manners but they do love their teams. Probably one of the best pro sports towns in the nation.

New York fans are just as fickle.
