I think suicide it's horrible but it's part of life. Depression and suicide exists in life and millions of people suicide every year. There are some artists who sing about stupid meaningless things like dancing and kissing and buying shoes, but there are other artists, serious artists, who sing about real problems from real life. Madonna for instance wrote a lot of songs about death, and just like that many artists sing about the dark side of life like death, suicide, loneliness. It's all part of life and if an artist is a serious artist then he will sing about darkness, not just about the good side of life. That's what makes the difference between a light weight entertainer and a true artist in terms of how meaningful and deep his or her lyrics and videos are. I consider Rebecca Black's "Friday" song and Justin Bieber songs much more disturbing than Lana del Rey suicidal videos or Madonna's songs about death.
