windows media player files compressed..how so?
I have about 12 window media player movie files on my computer....i need to email the files to myself and clear up some space on my computer......is there a free way to do this. Just take the files shrink them enough to email them to email and not take 99years to email

It depends on the format (filetype) of the files. If it's a compressed format, compressing the file will probably actually make it just a bit larger. (All you'll be doing is storing it, but the compression program adds a catalog entry for each file, whether it's compressable of not.) Formats like mp4 are already pretty tightly compressed.
Winrar. Compress the file into a rar file. Should take away about 50-200 or a bit more however depends on the file.
