No science degree is of value if it does not require a lot of math. Descriptive (qualitative) sciences are not very valuable for predictive purposes.
It is quite possible to work as a scientist or field scientist without having to be capable of dealing with the quantitative aspects in much detail, but that is a limitation on the individual that will govern the level of responsibility that can attain.
If you want to be a true scientist, you need to be able to do math through basic calculus and statistics at a minimum.
Take GEOLOGY instead----It uses less advanced math---No ,more than analytic Geometry and you get a more versatile, and better Hard Science Background------- Environmental Science is mostly a FAD and highly POLITICIZED and infiltrated by Socialists using it for their own agenda, Regular Pols using it for vote getting scare tactics, and other Scientists defending and vying for grants from the later. Take GEOLOGY and specialize in Environmental Geology.
True to most science degrees, environmental science programs often require ... Environmental scientists can enter the work-force immediately, or pursue higher

Depends on the specific class/teacher. Also depends on what you fully want to do. But when I took that class there was little bits of math.
