If the WWE wants PG they will have PG with or without DX. DX is just a way to gain a few ratings, by making people THINK the PG era is ending, and to give Triple H another excuse to be in every promo there is.
I don't think the PG era will ever end. I usually just watch DVD's of old PPV's or episodes of smackdown and raw I use to tape. It's still better than that bull they put out today. It's depressing...
