When im multiplying, adding, subtraction, divide with decimals what do i have to remember>? Tell me the difference between these when using decimals. Like hen you multiply or something u always line up the decimals...

OOO OOO I KNOW!!! We have just learned this in math. Ok, when multiplying decimals, you DO NOT have to line of decimals. Just get it where you can multiply it right. When you are done, count in the numbers you multipied how many numbers are behind the decimal, then take that number and start at the end of your answer, at the right. Then count to the left, that many times of however many spots where after the decimal in the numbers you mutiplied. Like this
$= multiplying sign
192. - 0 spots after decimal
$ .5 - 1 spot after decimal

so you start at the 0 and go one number to the left. Tell me if you stil don't get it.

now you have to move the decimal on the number inside the house. So it would be 302 . Add a zero in the blank space, making 3020. Then devide. Most of the time with decimal problems, the problem will be never ending. You must round the number to the tenths, hundredths or something then. It will include that in the problem, and the teacher will definetely tell you.
For subtracting, ALWAYS line up the decimals. ALWAYS!!! Like this

in multiplying decimals u don't line up the decimals. you set them up to the last numbers are in a vertical line. then multiply. then count the the # of digits after the decimal in all #s multiplied and move the decimal that many spaces up from the back of ur final to find where the decimal goes. for division you put the #s where they go. if the outside # has the decimal somewhere inside the # then move it to the back of the #. then move the decimal on the inside the same amount of times u moved the decimal on the outside. then solve it like a normal problem. in addition and subtraction is when u line up the decimal.

multiply, you have to remember NOT to line up the decimals; you decide how many numbers are behind the decimal by adding up the amount of numbers behind all of the decimals in the problem.
take this problem for example:
2.24
x 3.1

6.944
you get this number by multiplying just as you would if the decimals werent there, and then you count that 2.24 has two numbers behind the decimal (2 and 4) and that 3.1 has one (1), so that makes three numbers behind the decimal, 9, 4, and 4.
divide, you have to remember that you can't divide a number by a decimal, so you have to move the decimal point of the number that you are dividing by so that it is no longer a decimal, and add the same number of 0's to the number that is being divided. If that sounds confusing, just remember that you are essentially multiplying both numbers by ten, that is why you are moving the decimals and adding the zeros.
when you are adding, you have to remember to line up the decimal, and then just bring down the decimal in your final answer. Its the same with subtraction.

oh and plus, if you forget one of these rules, just try a simple problem that you know the answer to already.
for example, if you cant remember when to line up the decimal, try:

+ 3.0 (those decimal points are supposed to be alligned)
and see what you get, then try:
2.0
+ 3
you wont get the correct answer for the latter, so you'll know that for addition you are supposed to line up the decimal points.
when you add or subtract decimals you always line up the decimal.
ex:

when you multiply you dont have to line them up
but you have to count how many spaces after the decimal
and move the decimal over that many spaces in the product.
