Xbox registration number (located on the back of the system)
Now call the Xbox support number for your particular region. They'll ask you various questions, but in the end it will come down to you needing to send off the 360 to their repair centre for repairs. They'll guide you through the process etc. So don't worry, they'll be quite helpful, though repair times can vary for this process (longest I had to wait was around 25 days).
