Florida was the better team, that us why they won the championship last year too. They had the experience and something very important in a championship team, chemistry. They had 4 guys who could cover Oden and a very talented offense in which anyone could take over. They also had a scrappy defense, especially brewer, which is why he was the most outstanding player. Ohio State on the other hand I saw as being overrated. For one thing, they had the easiest path to the final four, and yet they barely got there. A desperate heave led to a win over Xavier, a somewhat lucky comeback got them passed tennessee, and they were pretty lucky memphis upsetted a&m to get them out of ohio state's end. They are a good defensive team, but like most big ten schools, there offense lags throughout the game. Oden's offensive game hasn't developed at all, and Conley needs to know when to penetrate and take over. Basically nobody else on Ohio State's team can create for themselves. Well, now with Florida's 4 key players gone, i see anyone in the running for the championship next year, so maybe Ohio State will win it then.
i think that Ohio State didnt have enough depth in the team(help wise) to help Greg Oden. They rely on oden so much that they dont focus on creating a deaper team that has no problem at all if he has a bad game or not. And even when he is having a good game, you need more than one person providing when you are playin a team like Florida.
I was hoping Ohio State would beat Florida, but Florida was to much for Ohio State. It is an advantage when you have done it before. Florida had more experience players. If Greg & Mike come back I think they could do it next year, maybe even without them Ohio State could win it. I personally think the refs did not call a good game. The two quick fouls on Conley took Mike out of the game from the beginning.
Studies have shown that when one team shoots 4 for 23 on three pointers (and 2 for 21 outside of garbage time), while the other team shoots over 50% percent (10-18), the second team will win almost all the time. That's really the difference in the game. Turnovers, rebounds, paint play, those were pretty much even. And it wasn't even like the Buckeye shooters weren't getting open shots. They were; they were just missing all of them from the time Harris hit a couple early on until the game was over. Call it nerves, call it bad luck, call it what you want, but that's the bottom line.
Ohio State didn't make any 3's! They usually are a very good perimeter shooting team but they missed nearly every 3 they took. On a normal night they would have been winning.
greg had a great night but none of his teammates helped him out and relied on him to much. no one really got in their groove and couldn't get their offense started. it really sucks cause i hate florida and joakim noah but ohio should've been out in their first game........ so w/e

Oden did have an awesome game, but one man cannot win by himself.
Well maybe why Flordia won is because they just put on a better game then Ohio.

cause they had more experience and were one of the best teams ever to win.
