$20 Trick in Las Vegas?
We are going out to Las Vegas for my brother's 21st birthday. I just recently came across the $20 Trick. We are staying at the Cosmo. We are checking in late on a Wednesday.. like 11p. What are the chances that this actually works? Thanks!

Things have changed in Vegas... it may not work. But, if you are not easily embarassed and end up the event by saying 'well, I was trying to get a nice room, I hope I didn't embarass anybody', you may not look so foolish after all :)

chances are slim the $20 works anymore you may need about 5 0f the $100 to even think about an upgrade
You can try, but it rarely works anymore, particularly at the higher end resorts. But if you ask about any available upgrades, they will often give you a discounted upgrade if they have something available.
Its been about ten years since it last worked for me - was able to upgrade to a Jr Suite at Bally's. Haven't heard of much success with the "Trick" anymore
