My '03 Hyundai Elantra will not start. I put the key in, turn it, and nothing happens. No clicking sounds, no engine sounds, nothing. My door locks and horn won't even work. After I let it sit for awhile, I'll open the door and the light on the door will come on, and the "open door" light on the dash will come on, but once I try and start it, everything turns off.
Any suggestions?

I'd look first for corrosion between the battery posts and the cables connected to them. Remove the cables and gently wire brush or scrape both the posts and the surface of the cable connectors that mates with them. You want to brighten them wihout removing too much metal. Tighten securely. You may have to charge the battery as well.
A failed battery could also show similar symptoms.

Sounds like the battery died. Thats if you dont even hear the engine try to start. Try starting up with electric cables. Or you may have to replace the alternator which keeps the car running after the battery starts it up
Have you checked your battery? It sounds like the car doesn't have any power to start it.
