i recently got the youtube download tool bar on my computer, but when ever i try to download a video it says i need a program to open the mp4 file. anyone know a site where i can get this program?

Try MVS Player, its with best performance on video playing, fastest opening video access only 15 ms for 1.4 GB video size, best audio compression output. Play AVI, 3GP, MKV, FLV, MP4, MPEG, WMV etc. Hope it helps:)
There are many ways to download youtube video.
1. firefox plugin - Video downloader

There is no problem to download youtube videos and watch it on my computer.
Anyway, if you need a video player, you can download VLC Player - an open source tool which can play almost all video files.
