With HT turned on it'll go from a dual core to a quad core

intel is better for overclocking and performance

but the core i3 in not very good beside of it's L3 cache

and hyper threading

so from the cores point of view the AMD will be

better for you, but you told me that you want to

overclock.

AMD IS NOT GOOD FOR OVERCLOCKING

so all depends on whats are the apps you

are running, so if is games intel is better,

for work AMD is better

If you overclock any processor just a tad bit you won't notice a dramatic affect. & I always go with intel even tho they are a little expensive they are faster & more reliable
