AMD vs Nvidia is quite a burning and interesting issue over many forums. New gamers are quite confused in choosing between the two. There were many features b/w the brands like CUDA, OpenCL, PhysX, Nvidia Vision, Eyefinity, ATI Stream and many other which keep the discussion on going. Well I was wondering, that if there is a visual quality difference in many games when playing on either of the cards? I mean that if Crysis 2 looks better on Nvidia than on ATI, because I have heard that Nvidia has a name for delivering stunning visuals while AMD/ATI is quite faster than Nvidia. Is it true? And I have also heard that ATI are for gamers while Nvidia for Enthusiasts. Is it also true? Plz explain.

Okay, if you want to play games with the video card, get an AMD Radeon, if you want to edit videos and stuff like that get an nVidia.
AMD is essentially a graphics card with a more visual side. Compared to Nvidia graphics cards AMD usually beats it out on the visual factor.
However if you're a gamer, you should go for Nvidia - proof of this is most hardcore gamers use Nvidia instead of AMD.
Now, depending on your financial situation, AMD is usually cheaper than Nvidia.
I would personally prefer Nvidia because I don't do things like video edit, or rendering. I mostly play games.
To recap: AMD cards base it on a balance of visual and gaming aspects - Mostly visual.
Gaming? Not so much.
Nvidia focuses on giving good FPS, but keeping a bit of the visual side on - FPS and visual combined.
