Babette is one of a trio of girls who spend most of the play swooning over Gaston. That said, she rarely sings alone, but does have a few lines (she and the other two girls try to convince Gaston not to propose to Belle and each have a line or two as he approaches Belle's cottage; after she turns him down, they each have another couple of lines where they happily exclaim that now they still have a chance with Gaston). The trio of girls, I believe, have short sections where just the three of them sing in "Belle" (opening chorus scene), and "Gaston" (bar scene).
