Black Computer Screen?
i went on this website and my computer shut off. Now it turns on it goes to the windows xp lines but after that you can't get to the you know you have to choose a user that screen and it just black with the white cursore moving , i tried on safe mode and it works on safe mode but not the actual xp. i have important documents and pics and stuff on it so don't want to wipe windows and other solution please please help.

Try this while in safe mode.
1. Goto display properties and set your display to its lowest resolution seting. Reboot and see if that helps get you back into normal mode. If so, Go back into display properties and re set your resolution to a higher mode.
2. If not, go into safe mode. Go into control panel, then system, then go into Device Manager and uninstall your graphics card. Reboot. Xp will re load your drivers for your graphic system.
Failing that, delete the drivers from add remove hardware in control panel, reboot, then goto your graphic cards manufacturers website, and dowload current drivers for your graphics card (in safe mode with networking, if need be)
You should be able to copy any of your files to a USB fob or other storage device in Safe mode.
You may be able to change your startup and solve the problem. Try going into safe mode and then click on start/run... and type in msconfig.exe then hit ok
at this point you can select the startup tab and look through the list and deselect anything that doesn't look right. Don't worry, you can always go back and reselect it or select normal on the general tab.
Another alternative is to use the Diagnostic option on the General Page. It's time to learn a lot about your startup
