First you didn't give quite enough info as to how the screen is broke.

I suggest the you take it to best buy or radio shake and ask both what they would charge to fix it and then decide. You can also try Dell but that is most likely more expensive.

The other choice as previously mentioned is to buy another laptop and use the hard drive in this computer as a external by installing it in a 2.5 inch usb case.
