I'm digging a hole in my backyard, to extend my house, my neighbour called a contractor, and he kepted looking in my yard, touching the things i had to cover the hole so it wouldn't get wet and i told him to stop looking and touching it and he didn't care he continued to go through and look at the hole while pulling up the plywood that was covering it, Now does this contractor have a right to do this as a contractor or? I'm confused cause he just told me he's a contractor and continued to do it.
Update:Yes it is my property. the hole is also close to his house.

Assuming it's your property, you can tell him to get off and if he won't leave you can call the cops and charge him with trespassing. Until then, turn the hose on him. He may be POd but as long as he's on your property, and you've told him to leave, what the hell.
Doesn't matter if he's a contractor or Santa Claus, he can't just come on your property and mess with your stuff.
Are you very sure you're totally clean though on this? Do you have any required permits? Also, some places there are distances you have to stay from the property line when building - be sure you're in compliance with any local laws.
