If a minor were to die in Australia, who would get there possessions? If they left a note saying who would get what, would that note be respected or would the government step in and decide? Especially if not everyone on the note were a family member. Links to more information would be greatly appreciated.
Update:I'm not asking this because I plan on doing something like this. I was just wondering because something like this happened to someone I know recently and I just wanted to know what would happen. So I guess it depends on if your parents are willing to respect your last wishes.

technically everything you own goes to your parents, you could go to a lawyer and have them draw one up, but that's only with parental consent...if you're planning to do yourself in...don't even bother it's another 5k expense to your parents, they will love you no more in death than in life
grow old....grow old so that you can spite them by making something of yourself
