Can a Pepsi randomly explode?
My Dad got a Pepsi can from Thailand 20 years ago and brought it back as a souvenir (still full; I know wasteful) and today I was watching T.V. and it exploded. No one shook it up or anything and it didn't fall. It exploded, there was hole in the top and a bunch of the soda spilled, It even went into the air (about 2 inches). Does anyone know why or how. Or am I just crazy and it never happened.

That's happened to me before. Sometimes the can expands when it gets hot. Maybe the heater vent is near it?? And it's really old so all the carbonation is gone so there was a lot of air in it.
Soda has acids in it so after so many years the inner lineing of the can might of worn. Away and and it burst at the weekest spot
