Can a video game destroy my laptop?
Hey,
I started playing x com enemy unknown and civilization 5(i ve download it from the internet)and in x com there were some moments that my pc was frozen for 5 sec but i ve managed to complete a x com.
Then i started playing civilization 5 it was good but when i started playing more it freezed a lot and made me restart my laptopt numerous times.My laptop is decent.

Did you "download" it from a genuine site - like Steam or something or have you pirated it?
if you've pirated it - Yes it can cause major issues for your laptop as it might be infected with a virus. If you did pirate it stop being a cheap skate and go buy it legally.
If you did buy it legally then if it's freezing a lot it could be either your PC just doesn't have requirements to run it (what are the specs of your PC - memory, video card, graphics RAM, CPU, etc), or if it's randomly resetting it could be that the PC is getting too hot inside, ensure all your coolers are in place and working properly, check the thermal paste on the CPU, etc.
Not the software directly but the effect it has on the system as it uses appoximately 4 times the resources of any other Application. In fact if it were not for games, we would not need 4 cores and processors running at 3 Billion Clock cycles per Second. No other applications require that. But perhaps it is a good thing because it fuels the industry. Thank you.
