Can facial piercings cause breakouts?
Alright, So i just got my Monroe done about two days ago. I was just wondering if facial piercings can cause breakouts?

Update:I still wash my face. I just am careful around that area.
someone told me it could just be right now cause i just got it done and my face is irritated cause i put a hole through it.

if you don't regularly clean the area, it could lead to deposits in your pores causing breakouts.
but if you're not cleaning it properly, you're going to get an infection anyway.
No, zits are caused by blocked pores and hormonal changes. Your aftercare could be the culprit, if your break outs are right around it. You may not be cleansing your face as well as you normally do (and most cleansers are far too harsh to use on/directly around a fresh piercing).
It can do. But usually only because people aren't cleaning their face properly cause of the piercing. Or they're using some unusual aftercare, that clog up pores, and plays up your skin.
I honestly haven't researched it.. But, I got my monroe done about a month and a half ago, and it hadn't caused any breakouts for me.
But, I guess it's possible.
While it took little less than two months for me to really see a difference, my acne, blackheads and whole lot of other skin problems I had such as eczema had completely cleared! It was totally amazing...

I'm not sure, but i have noticed a few pimples around my nose piercing, but i'm 16, so i'm sure that its just hormones. lol. Just keep up with your aftercare, and you should be fine.
