I needed 120 hours to get my BA. I had 113 going into this summer, and took two free elective courses (worth 3 each) to complete my degree. I work in down town Houston, for a oil company, my job strictly requires a bachelors degree.
One of the classes I took this summer will not count on my degree for some reason (still in a long debated argument with my school over this, but looks like I'm not going to get those hours to count). It's to late to sign up for classes this fall. I would not be able to get those hours back in till the winter break mini semester!
So technically I'm 3 hours short of a college degree. Can I lose my job over this?

I wouldn't mention it. If you already have the job and can properly do the job, then don't worry about it. If it ever comes, up, I'd just say you plan to take the extra class or two next semester. If they make a big deal about it, take the class(es), get the degree and be totally legal.
It's possible but as long as your doing your job & you are completing the requirements I don't see why you would.
