I paid $900.00 for a pair of lakers game 5 tickets....upon arriving to our seats (my sister and i) which were seats 7 and 8 in a row of 10 seats.....theres a group of 3 sitting in seats 8 9 and 10... so seat 7 was open and no one was in seat 6 so noproblem my sister and i sit in 7 and 6....at the 3rd quater the party in seats 5 and 6 come so i move over to my seat 8 and my sister into seat 7....the party that were in the seats were gone....they come back and sit in seat 9 and 10 they never mentioned anything along the lines of my seats being hers....so minutes into the third quater...the party who had actual tickets for seats 9 and 10 come...the woman tries to say i was sitting in her seat....i ask to see her ticket it said section 218 and we were in section 217 she was in the wrong place....she goes and complains...an usher comes and asks to see my tickets....i show him he thanks me and walks away...at the start of the 4th quater the usher comes back and tells me his supervisor wants to speak to him..i politely tell him im enjoying the game and if he would like to speak to me he can come and speak to me....so two minutes later the supervisor comes up and yells at me....i need you to come with me....i ask in regard to?....he yells im not going to get into it here u need to come with me....so i go down the stairs and the woman who was lying and seat hopping...is there....so the supervisor asks to see my tickets i ask why....i dont have to tell you anything you need to show me your tickets...... i explain i already showed my tickets to the gentleman( the usher)...he says i need to see your tickets....yelling at me talking to me very rudely... so i walk towards the woman who complained and told her i wanted to see her tickets.....the security guard then grabs my arm....jerks me back.....is pulling me into the lobby....yells for security....says my sister and i are out of here....tells the women they can have the seats theyre good......all at the same time.....im resisting im livid...im a student who just spent 900.00 on tickets as a graduation gift to my little sister.....im in tears...im humiliated...im embarassed im mad because i know what that woman was doing was wrong....so he tells me i need to leave i say no i need to speak with someone else...another supervisor comes.....and he finally explains that there could possibly be duplicate tickets.....ok why couldnt that have been told to me in the beginning....even though the womans tickets clearly said section 218....so another ten minutes goes by im out side surrounded by security guards as if im going to do something crazy.....im in tears embarassed...finally one of the guards comes back and says theyre good.....they can go back to their seats...like are you kidding me??? with 4 minutes left???????..... so i ask an LAPD Officer if i could press charges against the security guard who assaulted me....he says no beacause a security guard can do what they feel is necessary to diffuse a situation....but who deems what exactly is necessary???? the officer advised me....that the security guard does as well as do i...i made a complaint against the jack *** who ruined my night...but that was something so special and sentimental for my sister and i.....and that woman who was lying and the security guard took that away from us...and i want something to be done about it....is there any legal action i could take?????.......also my arm is so sore and i woke up this morning with a throbbing headache..im going to the doc today....

You have to remember that the supervisor has no idea what is going on. He just asked you to come down because as far as he knew, he had a legitimate complaint about someone being in the wrong seat. You did wrong by causing a ruckus instead of just showing him your tickets.
In other words, the woman went down there with a complaint similar to yours. The supervisor has no idea if it is you or her telling the truth. Instead of complying and simple showing him your tickets, you threw a fit and became belligerent, which was grounds for them to throw you out.
If you had simply said "here you go," shown your tickets to the supervisor, and gone back to your seat, everything would have been fine.
Was what the other woman did right? No. Did you take the right course of action when simply asked for your tickets? No.
As to the security guard grabbing you, you have no grounds there either. You were in a heated arguement with this other woman. You then began approaching her in a hostile manner. The security guard's job is to keep everyone safe. Would you feel the same way if the other woman had approached you, he did nothing, and the other woman struck you in the face? You were the aggressor in this situation, so he had everyr ight to use physical force to hold you back when you were showing hostile action.
You have ZERO grounds to win a lawsuit.
Take this as a lesson learned and always play things cool.
You caused most of this problem when you refused to cooperate and then approached the other woman. The security guard was trying to keep the situation calm. You have a headache becuase you stressed out and got excited about something not worth it. You have filed a complaint now move on. Being embarassed is no reason to sue.
you have no grounds to sue, yes you got pissed off but you were acting childish and immature and not cooperating with the manager. it would have gone more smoothly if you had just done what they asked. IF you had nothing to hide then they would have had no cause to put their hands on you and on top of that YOU had no right to ask to see the other persons ticket. you should be embarassed....because technically you were in the wrong by not cooperating. you could have had this solved in a quicker time than it had been but you caused a scene and YOU caused yourself to miss the game. the police officer was completely right in telling you no that he was not going to press charges, and he WAS doing his job, and keeping you from making a bigger scene than you were. he did not assault you he held you back. no one did anything to you to ruin your night but YOU. the people were doing their job, and you did everything you could to not be reasonable. you DONT know what the woman did or not, you werent there before she gave the "story" so she probably listened to what they asked her to do and didnt cause any trouble. also, DONT bring race into this, no one discriminated against you and you COULD have had this handled if you just listened to what they wanted you to do.....
Get over yourself you were doing as much seat hopping as anyone and there was a mix up. Security did just exactly what they are there for, resolved the issue.
Anyone can sue anyone anytime but winning in your case would be rare. Learn to make paragraphs, capitalization and punctuation.
You didn't comply with the security, ushers and other staff in a privately owned venue. I'm not saying you have no case, but you don't have much of a case.
Additional: Now you're making it a race issue. Conclusion: You have no case but want to make a fuss anyway. Way to perpetrate stereotypes.
"so i walk towards the woman who complained and told her i wanted to see her tickets...."
FAIL - You may have had a case until you did that. Too late now. If you would have cooperated and not gone all She-nay nay on the supervisor this entire situation could have been avoided.
It looks to me like this was at least substantially your own fault. Show the tickets, the man says, and you argue and fight about it. If you'd shown the tickets, you'd have been back in your seats in 5 minutes. YOU brought on the big delay.
Sorry, you saw substantially the whole game, you have no cause for suit.
You chose not to cooperate, it's your own fault. They don't have to explain it right there in front of all the other fans during the game, they can ask you to step aside. Don't act so ghetto next time, just do what they ask and they'll let you get back to the game. Way to screw up your sister's graduation gift.
The weirdest part of this whole story is that you were at the Staples Center when the Lakers and Celtics were playing in Boston. No wonder everyone got up in each others faces.....they were at the wrong arena.
Yep. It is L.A. Fitness job to ensure that they have a safe enviroment for children. But, this could be attributed to your childs mistake of not seeing the mat. You have a case, just a hard one. Were there any cameras?
