Hey, for the past few days i occasionally have gotten the message "An error has occurred. You have been signed out of PSN. (80711008)" when trying to sign into PSN. However usually it fixes itself within an hour or two. The problem is now for the past two days it hasn't worked at all! I have tried almost every hour from 3:30 to about 10:30 pm and i still can't sign in, so could anybody (maybe who has also had this problem) help me out? Extra Details: running an Automatic IP, Manual DNS of the Google public servers (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) MTU: 1492 and all the other settings are default. Thanks in advance!

I just bought the PS3 and have had a 360 for years. I have never had this problem once with my 360 and I've only owned this PS3 for a week and it's happening. Well, this network is free and you do have to pay for the 360 online.
I've had that problem before mostly with wi-fi. Check your connection if available and make sure your router is all hooked up correctly. If your wi-fi is not working try connecting an ethernet cord to the back of your PS3 and see where it goes from there.

You should call Sony and tell them your error code. They can help you fix it over the phone.
it's usually your wifi if you disconnect it wait five minutes and turn it back on it should work if not call sony
