Carnival Cruise line's Ecstacy does 4 and 5 day cruises from Galveston and Carnival's Conquest does 7 day cruises from there. In addition Royal Caribbean's Voyager of the Seas (a great ship) does 7 day cruises out of Galveston.

Yes! Carnival Cruise Line has ships leaving Port Galveston and the port of New Orleans. I am going on my first cruise in February, running away from Mardi Gras! We are going on a Carnival West Carribean cruise to Cozumel and Progresso, MX. 30 ladies! 8 of us are best friends. My son in law's sister sailed from Galveston twice when the port here was closed after Katrina. So, yes!!!!

Both Carnival and Royal Carribean have cruises that leave from Galveston. Although Carnival has a more departures than Royal Carribean.
