Reviews online for full size DSLRs seem to actually show the start-up time and latency time, but I am looking for this same info for ultracompact point & shoot digitals. Buying a gift for a friend, and she made it clear - the most important features to her were small, lightweight, and fast start-up time.

Any advice on where I can research this, or any recommendations on cameras? Thanks.
